Comments: The elegance and grandeur of the Elanora Country Club is legendary...it is a magnificent club on a magnificent course and with a magnificent and traditional golfing atmosphere. It is far removed from the hustle and bustle of the world and carries superb views of the Manly Peninsula area and the Pacific Ocean. When you play Elanora you are playing a course that began in May 1929 and has become one of the very top courses in this city. There is a grand entrance a lovely drive past well-kept gardens to the white clubhouse and a huge practice putting green that will duplicate almost every line and angle you?ll need on the large superb greens. Elanora Country Club a very firm favourite with Country Week golfers for its course atmosphere and hospitality sweeps away form the clubhouse and winds among beautiful bushes around a couple of creeks and besides some small cliffs before returning the player to the clubhouse for a half way refreshment. An electrically operated inclinator carries players form the 9th green to the clubhouse and it has proved a boon for those finding the steepish walk too difficult. The second nine takes you more south and south west and adds to the variety of the holes you encounter on the front nine. The 18th hole a great par 4 in a course that doesn?t have a ?bad? hole is uphill towards the clubhouse which serves as an aiming point for your first (and often your second!) shot. If you are fortunate enough to play here you?ll relish the opportunity and you?ll remember with pride how much you enjoyed this special golf course where the nation?s best have contested major amateur championships.
Green Fees: on application.
