Adam Scott finishes T11 in China WGC event

Nov 6, 2019

Adam Scott continued his great recent form on the US PGA Tour, claiming T11 at the WGC-HSBC Champions event in Shanghai, China. Rory McIlroy took at the title in a playoff against America’s inform Xander Schauffele. Rory looks set to challenge the major’s again in 2020 after his FedEx Cup win just a few weeks back.
Scott’s fine form will be needed at the Presidents Cup in December, as the strong US Team looks hard to beat on paper. Scott Hend made a welcome return to form, finishing T28 to be the next best placed Aussie.
The PGA Tour had another event in Bermuda and several Australians took the opportunity to tee up in a weakened field with many of the higher ranked players in China. Best result was veteran Rob Pampling who had -9 to place T31.
On the Champions Tour David McKenzie was our sole representative and he had a good week placing T15.
Meanwhile the Latinoamerica Tour kicked off again in Argentina and Ryan Ruffles had a strong showing to finish T13.
