Jake Knapp, a 29 year old PGA Tour rookie, has won his first PGA Tour title at the 2024 Mexican Open at Vidanta Vallarta Resort. The win earns him 500 FedExCup points, moves to No. 8 in the FedExCup standings and now he is fully exempt through the 2026 PGA TOUR season. He also earns a spot in all five remaining Signature Events this season, plus THE PLAYERS, Masters Tournament, PGA Championship and The Sentry in 2025.
Although leading after 54 holes it wasn't all smooth sailing for Knapp. On his way to victory he set a new record by hitting just two of 13 fairways in the final round, becoming the first player since 1983 to hit two or less fairways in the final round and go on to win. Knapp also made 23 birdies in the first 54 holes and just two in the final round on his was to the two stroke victory (-19)

Only two Aussies teed up - Aaron Baddeley had a good week finishing in T24 (-9), while Harrison endycott missed the cut.
The Tour moves to Palm Beach Gardens this week
