Jason Day continues great form finishing 5th at The Players

May 15, 2018

Australia’s Jason Day capped off a great Players Championship finishing in a tie for 5th behind runaway winner Webb Simpson. In reality the field looked to be playing 2nd at the start of the weekend, such was the dominant display by Webb, who also matched Greg Norman’s tournament record of -19 after the third round.
Day finished with a 68, still 5 shots shy of the winner. Adam Scott recorded a very positive result finishing just outside the Top 10 (T11), with Marc Leishman the other Aussie to make the cut.
On the web.com Tour Cameron Davis continued the Australian form, finishing in a tie for 4th in his third career start on that Tour. He is really a player to watch in the future!
On the Latinoamerica Ryan Ruffles finish in T11, while in China David Latterus was the best placed Australian (T26).
The PGA Circus now heads to Dallas for the AT&T Byron Nelson and we’re only 5 weeks away from the second Major of the year, the US Open at Shinnecock Hills.
