Marc Leishman the in form player on the US Tour

Feb 20, 2019

Marc Leishman continues to be one of the most consistent players on the PGA Tour at this stage of the 2018/19 season, recording his fourth Top-5 finish in just six starts at the Genesis Open in California this past week. He now sits 4th on the FedEx Cup Rankings. With consistent form like this, he is sure to strongly contest the main PGA Tournaments over the following months and he must be considered Australia’s main chance to add a major to his resume.
Adam Scott also continues to show the form that earned him a green jacket back in 2013 – his ball striking as good as ever although his putting remains a little flaky. A Top-10 finish at the Genesis means he’s inside the Top 20 on the FedEx table.
Cameron Smith and Aaron Baddeley both played on the weekend and both finished T49, while Cam Davis, Curtis Luck, Rod Pampling and John Senden missed the cut.
On the Champions Tour David McKenzie is staring to make a name for himself in his debut season, finishing T11 at the Chubb Classic. His efforts saw him handed nearly US$33,000 and he sits 34th on the OOM on that Tour.
The web.com Tour wasn’t a happy hunting ground for the Aussies however, with in form Rhein Gibson missing the cut along with Brett Coletta, Brett Drewitt and Minwoo Lee. Cameron Percy was the only Australian to make the weekend action and he tailed off to finish in T35th.
There was no tournament play on The Mackenzie Canada Tour, PGA Tour of China and Latinoamerica Tour this past week.
