Hideki Matsuyama has won the US Masters, becoming the first Japanese player to win the prestigious event. It is expected to gain him rockstar status in his home coutnry and a golfing boom in Japan is sure to follow. The golf mad country has more courses than any other country outside the USA.
A stunning third round 65 set up the win for Hideki, who played supurb golf after players returned after a rain delay. The result was never really in doubt for much of the final round.
Australian's did well, with Marc Leishman earning a T5 finish and last year's runner up Cam Smith finished with another Top 10 result. Matt Jones and Adam Scott also made the cut for the weekend.
