McKenzie finishes 3rd at PGA Champions Tour

Oct 30, 2018

David McKenzie was the headline Australian act over the weekend, finishing the PGA Champions Tour Unvesco QQQ Championship in third place, collecting nearly US$120k for his work. McKenzie has been regularly making the cut on the Tour, but this was his best result for quite a while – his third career third place in 30 Champions Tour starts.

At the WGC HSBS Championship in China, Jason Day continued on with his fine form just missing a Top 10 finish settling for T11. This strong form sees him in 16th position in the FedEx Cup standings and a promising 2018/19 season looks likely.
Adam Scott continued his revival grabbing a tie for 18th.
Only two Aussies made the cut at the PGA Tour Sanderson Farms Championship – Curtis Luck (T50) and Stuart Appleby (T68). Aaron Baddeley and Cameron Davis both missed weekend action.

All the other PGA Tours either had a break or will begin again in early 2019.
