Minjee Lee and Hannah Green shine in Japan

Minjee Lee and Hannah Green both had a great week on the LPGA Tour at the Toto Japan Classic in Shiga, each recording a Top 10 finish. Lee placed outright third behind winner Ai Suzuki of Japan and runner-up Hyo Joo Kim of the Republic of Korea. Suzuki finished on -17, three shots clear of second place and another three shots ahead of Lee. Hannah Green was two shots further back on -8 to finish T10.
In the race to the GME Globe Season, Jin Young Lee still holds the #1 place, ahead of Canada’s Brooke Henderson. After her third place, Lee rises to third position, meanwhile Green held steady and sits in 19th spot. In the Rolex World rankings, Jin-Young Ko #1, while Lee is #5 and Green #23.
It was a very quiet week on the men’s PGA tour, with only the Champions Tour and Latinoamerica Tour holding an event. On the Champions, David McKenzie placed T29 at the season ending Invesco Championship at Sherwood Country Club in California. Overall it was a good year for McKenzie, he finished 36th in the Charles Schwab Cup. He’ll be looking forward to the new season ahead. Year highlights for McKenzie included his runner-up finish at the SAS Championship and three Top-10 finishes.
On the Latinoamerica Tour, Ryan Ruffles was our sole representative and he had another good result finished T21 (-8). His seventh Top-25 finish sees him maintain his place in the Top 10 of the Tour’s OOM.
