Munro best placed Aussie in a quiet week on Tour

Oct 2, 2018

It’s been a quiet week for Australian golfers this week, with the majority of the PGA Tours finished for the current season and all attention focused on the European victory at the Ryder Cup in France.
However the Champions Tour and PGA Tour of China both played over the weekend. At Pebble Beach the Champions Tour offered a US$2.1 million purse and David McKenzie led the Aussie charge finishing in T27 - his ninth Top 30 finish in 20 starts. Peter Lonard had a disappointing tournament finishing in T44.
On the PGA Tour of China, The Macau Championship saw nine Australians tee up, seven made the cut and the best placed was Jack Munro T24, playing in his first event on the Tour since 2016. He finished in a tie for 24th.
