Stuart Appleby turns back the clock

Jun 12, 2018

Stuart Appleby had a great tournament the FedEx St Jude Classic in Memphis on the weekend, turning back the clock and finishing in a tie for 12th – easily his best finish for the year. The event was the last chance for the winner to squeeze into the US field, but Dustin Johnson dominated, winning by 6 shots.

So nine Australians will compete in the 118th US Open to be played at Shinnecock Hills, Southampton, NEW YORK this week. They are; Adam Scott, Aaron Baddeley, Matt Jones, Lucas Herbert, Jason Day, Marc Leishman, Matt Jones, Cameron Smith and Jason Scrivener. Good Luck Aussies!
In other good results over the weekend, Deyen Lawson finished T12 in China, Curtis Luck T33 on web.com Tour, Brett Coletta finished T14 on Mackenzie Tour and David McKenzie finished T27 on the Champions Tour.
