While Collin Morikawa won the PGA Tour’s Zozo Championship with ease following a tournament record, bogey free final round of 63, Aussie fans can smile. Fresh of a victory last week on the Asian Tour with an incredible 30 under par at the SJM Macao Open, Mon Woo Lee finished T6 after a closing round of 65.
Along with sister Minjee Lee, the siblings are staking a claim to be one of the best brother-sister pairings in golf. Of course Minjee Lee has the edge right now courtesy of her two Major victories, however Min Woo is showing great promise and 2024 is shaping as a defining year for the likeable 25 year old.
Aussie Cam Davis continued his good overseas form, finishing T12 at the Zozo after a T7 in last week’s Shriners Children’s Open. Davis is currently ranked #42 in the world, one spot ahead of Min Woo Lee. Cameron Smith is currently the top ranked Aussie at #19 with Jason Day close behind in 21st position.
In more good news, Aaron Baddeley finished T21 hopefully a sign of things to come. Adam Scott finished T41.
