Australia's Top 10 Golf Courses according to ausgolf users

The new ausgolf users Top 10 Australian Golf Courses list has just been released with few changes at the top but several interesting omissions.

We have been collating your e-mails and have compiled this list of the Top 10 Australian Golf Courses as voted by ausgolf users. To add your opinion to this list e-mail info@ausgolf.com.au with your list of the best 10 courses in this great country.

TOP 10 AUSTRALIAN COURSES
1. Royal Melbourne West, Vic
2. Kingston Heath, Vic
3. Metropolitan, Vic
4. Royal Adelaide, SA
5. New South Wales
6. Victoria
7. Royal Melbourne East, VIC
8. The National - Moonah Course, VIC
9. Royal Sydney, NSW
10. The Australian, NSW

This latest list we saw the top course Royal Melbourne West remained unchanged and unchallenged as Australia's greatest track. The next four spots reshuffled slightly with Kingston Heath edging Metropolitan for second and Royal Adelaide pushing New South Wales GC back down to fourth place. The surprise new entry was the new Moonah course at The National at 8, which is only few years old and sure to continue its push up towards the top of numerous ranking lists. The National Moonah course and Royal Sydney's inclusion coincided with the removal of two Australian favourites Yarra Yarra and Royal Canberra who only just missed out on the Top 10.

Other notable mentions unlucky to miss out on the Top 10 include, Commonwealth, Newcastle, The Lakes, The Dunes, Woodlands and The National (Old course).

Other courses who received multiple votes and were considered include Huntingdale, Kooyonga, Lake Karrinyup, Hope Island, Joondalup, Sanctuary Cove (Pines) and Bonville.
