Australian entries in Golf Magazine's World Top 100

There is little change from the 2009 list, with Royal Melbourne West our top course up one spot from 14 to 13. Unfortunately the East course which was listed at 72 in 2007 when the magazine ranked the two courses independently has not re-appeared since, presumably due to conditioning issues and the rework being undertaken with architect Tom Doak.

Lost Farm enters the list at 82 whilst Barnbougle Dunes moves up a couple of notches to 41.

Kingston Heath remains our second best course at 27.

Although all ranking lists are contentious and highly subjective, six entries in the Top 100 isn't such a bad result for a nation like Australia. There is no doubt that our next best few courses are well and truly world-class, but until more panelists make the journey here the chances of Victoria and Commonwealth returning to the Top 100 or the likes of National Moonah and Ellerston making the list is unlikely.
