Lee Hodges wins 3M Open, Aussies Baddeley and Davis finish inside Top 10

Jul 31, 2023

The 3M Open was held at TPC Twin Cities, in Blaine, Minnesota and it was the penultimate week of the 2022/23 PGA Tour season and one of the last chances for players outside the FedEx Cup Top 70 to force their way into the lucrative playoffs beginning in less than two weeks.
American Lee Hodges took his opportunity and won his maiden Tour event and jumped from No. 74 to No. 33 in the FedEx Cup standings, ensuring he makes the playoffs. Hodges blitzed the field finishing on -24, seven shots ahead of his nearest rivals – Martin Laird, Kevin Streelman and J.T.Poston who shared T2 on -17.
Aaron Baddeley was the best placed Australian in T7 on -15. With his T7 finish, Baddeley earns a spot in next week’s field at the Wyndham Championship – win that and he’ll make the playoffs. Countryman Cam Davis finished a further shot behind on -14.
