Adam Scott shakes Covid and is ready for US Masters

Nov 9, 2020

A number of players on the US PGA Tour have tested positive to COVID-19, including World #1 Dustin Johnson. Australia’s Adam Scott joined this group a few weeks back when he tested positive just before the ZOZO Championship, forcing him to withdraw and go into quarantine for 10 days.

Thankfully he recovered well and returned to play at this week’s Houston Open, the final event before the US Masters. Scott made a strong showing early with 68-69 be up the top of the leader board after 36 holes, however a third round 74 saw him slip back through the field, eventually finishing T32.

While Scott’s form is encouraging as we head to the final Major of 2020, another Australian provides hope of wearing the green jacket in 2020. Jason Day found form at Houston and was in the thick of things after 54 holes with rounds of 67-68-67. A final round 71 saw him fall back to T7. He looks ready to pounce.

Day and Scott will be joined at by Marc Leishman and Cameron Smith. SEE THE FULL MASTERS INVITEES and get ready for some early mornings! Go Aussies!
