The creator of Green Circles (Ross Denny) developed this new App so he could play new courses and have more golf mates and perhaps an excuse to escape the wife more often!

Green Circles is a very simple concept and allows golfers to connect and arrange social golf on an easy to use platform. It’s Tinder for Golfers.

Golf Clubs can create and host golf games (usually four ball) or Golfers can can create and host the games themselves.  Hosts can detail who they want to play with ie, ability level, age or gender.

Once games are created, the Green Circles users (who all have a profile) can see the games and request to play.  

Any requests to play will be received by the host, who can view the profile of the requester and determine whether they would like to accept or reject the request.

There are multiple reasons as to why someone would use Green Circles as a golfer;

No golf mates available
New to an area
Looking to find a new club for membership
On Holiday and wants to play somewhere new
It’s easy and doesn't involve ringing around friends or contacts

For Clubs the benefits are also multiple 

Retention - Existing members can use the platform to arrange games with players in their own club of the same ability, age or gender.  This is vital for new members, especially younger players and female members to ensure they have someone to play with and maintain regular engagement with the golf club

Additional Revenue - Additional Revenue in the form of guest fees and additional spend in the clubhouse

Membership - Ability to attract new members

Additional Income for Club Professionals - They can use the platform to advertise lessons.

Creator Ross Denny has been trialling the concept at his Club once a week for over a year and regularly has three guests joining him. For his Club this means;

3 extra players at $75 each
Ave Club House spend $10 per head
Ave Pro Shop spend (balls, gloves, tees, drinks etc) $10 per head
New membership inquiries - (1 player has since joined)

So the total additional revenue on one game per week for a year (at no cost to the club) is quite substantial.
