England’s Aaron Rai became the 11th first time winner on the PGA Tour this season with his win at the 2024 Wyndham Championship – the final event of the regular FedExCup season. Now the top 70 in the standings qualify for next week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship, the first of the FedExCup Playoffs events.
Rai closed with a bogey-free 6-under 64 to claim his first career PGA TOUR title in his 89th start at the age of 29 years, 5 months. With the win, he collected 500 FedExCup points and moves from No. 53 to 25th in the standings entering the FedExCup Playoffs.
For the second time and first since 2013, no player moved in from outside the FedExCup Playoffs bubble and went on to qualify.
Scottie Scheffler finished #1, Xander Schauffele #2 and Rory McIlroy #3. The best positioned Aussie is Jason Day (#26), with Cam Davis (#44), Adam Scott (#46) and Min Woo Lee (#62).
